Prison Crusade

One of the highlights of our recent trip down south was the annual We Care prison crusade we are involved in. We sang in four men's prisons on four consecutive nights and Dad had the opportunity to do the teaching in two of them as well. We were thrilled when we showed up to our first prison and a We Care volunteer had gotten clearance to take pictures during the service! So, since prison pictures are few and far between we thought we'd share some with you. (Unfortunately Blake, Sterling, Havilah and Bristol weren't allowed into the prison the night of the photographing so these pictures are only of the five of us who are over eighteen. It was a challenge doing an entire concert without the younger four!)

Prayer with volunteers and inmates before the service

The inmates are usually the most lively, attentive crowd we sing to all year. We appreciate their respect and enthusiasm so much! They are the ones who make coming into the institutions something we look forward to every year.

Dad loves teaching in the prisons and sharing his testimony with guys who can relate to where he has been in the past.
